SAND TRAINING
Staring out the window, past my reflection, the waves
are breaking perfectly just a bit before dawn. With the morning coffee
brewing, I lay down a fresh coat of wax on my board and get ready to
take the day on, one wave at a time.
Right now as you read this, “this” will make no sense at
all to you. Right now, it will seem confusing if not erroneous to what
you commonly read and accepted in sheep-like manners. Yet that being
said, right now this article’s commentary isn’t intended
to make immediate sense to you. That would be impossible really and so
it’s really intended as a “seed,” that will grow and
implode at a later date when you realize that the entire fitness and
exercise game isn’t merely a hypocrisy but a empty fraud played
out by master marionettes of industry.
This broad based game of fitness, health and
wellness has long since entered an abyss of lies where not only information
on exercise, diet,
supplementation is misleading but it is geared towards pimping the
emaciated or well-pumped image of this era as “healthy, fit and desirable” mannequins,
which in turn fuels the industry continued growth. Ignoring the obvious
error of this era as planting these ridiculous images as desirable,
that supplementation is the crux of a healthy diet as the fitness bird-cage-liners
want you to believe or that fitness is found in these ridiculous machine-filled
chrome palaces, the public pays the ultimate cost and never finds the
healthy active balance that was once was prevalent in our society.
The real truth is that virtually every crevice
of this industry is bought and sold without conscience, works hard
for the all-mighty dollar
it worships and continually weaves a web that keeps the machine going.
Truth long since “left the building” or this little thing
called the runaway obesity problem in this nation would be a whole lot
easier to solve. The solution though is too much, far too much for you
too handle right now though as you’re fixated on the pretty images
of the well-shaved ab-etched male as attractive, the bloated steroid
junkie as “tough” or the starved and surgically enhanced
woman/ swan as desirable. The truth…you couldn’t handle it
right now but one day, like that ol’ runaway freight train a barrellin’ around
the corner, the truth will finally make some sense to you.
Fitness, health, diet was meant to add “value” to your
life. To help you enjoy the incredible opportunities we have in our era
and not leave you in the mad obsessive spiral to attain the “perfect” image
you are sold by the well financed ad agencies. But again that’s
too much for you right now and you’re just about ready to go do “biceps
and calves” and I’ve got a day to take on.
Paddling out for dawn patrol at my favorite spot
there is just the regular group in the cool spring waters who take
refuge in the early morning
experience with nature and the adrenaline rush of charging morning surf.
The morning crew is a hodge-podge of varying ages from teens before school
or those just before work but each with the ethos of enjoying an active
and healthy thirst for life. An hour flows by of paddling hard through
the surf, some fine waves, some not-so fine and of course the one lasting
moment that calls you back but it’s time to make my way back to
shore. Rinsing off quickly in a not-so cold beach front shower, walkers,
joggers, cyclists go by and nod a friendly hello. I fuel up once again
with some coffee, walk past a gym with its treadmill lined windows and
watch the drones, watch me, watching them letting life go by. But no
time to linger; it’s time to head back to the sand for a hard-core
training session.
Editor’s note: Part two of Sand Training coming soon: the plan,
the protocols to be healthy, fit and virile forever but remember…you’re
not ready for this. |
